A perfect end

I love college football. I'm always a little sad when the season is over ... and now the season is officially over. But man, I couldn't have asked for a better ending to this fabulous season!

The Florida Gators are the National Champs! Go Gators! They beat a really good team - in a game that was quite the defensive struggle. They beat the Heisman trophy winner (who looks more like an underwear model than a quarterback, but I digress ...) The Utes dominated and embarrassed the Alabama Crimson Tide. Seriously, could a better ending have been scripted?

People are always asking me why I like Florida. Well, I confess to not being a lifelong fan. I have tremendous respect for Tim Tebow. I think he is a wonderful example of a role model - someone who values God, missionary work and life beyond himself and the field. I also respect Urban Meyer, the way he coaches and the way he treats his players. I respect the program at Florida.

And of course, I always try to cheer for the 'hometown boys'. This included BYU, until their season imploded. Of course, it included Utah. I think the idea of 'elite conferences' is so lame - so I am extremely happy when someone from a non-elite conference busts into the BCS and demands to be recognized. Utah had the perfect season. The Utes deserve all the respect and the talk they're getting. Coach "we're the only team to have an undefeated regular season in a real BCS conference" Saban - eat your words!

Aaaah, the end of another beautiful season. This one, for me, is going down in the history books! Now can it be time for March Madness? Please?

They both were really good games. I even cheered for Utah during their bowl game. How could I not? Not being a huge football fan, it was really fun to watch this year.

I was definitely glad Florida won last night as well, but in my heart I can only see the Utes as the national champion. Florida, Oklahoma, Texas, USC, they all LOST. That is my only argument. While I am immensely glad for you my friend, Utah is the champion in my eyes.

Go Gators! I'm happy for you that your teams did well this year. I admit to cheering for Utah when they played Alabama, but it was hard; it felt morally wrong. :)

March is going to be great! Madness AND Twilight!! Bring on the college hoops. (Did you see the Duke game the other day? Our boys did well!)

Oh, yes, Sam Bradford definately looks like an underwear model:) Totally agree with you there. He's a hottie along with graham harrell and colt mccoy. Congrats on your gators winning! It was a fun game to watch. And I am glad that you posted why you like the Gators so much. I was curious myself. Not that it's bad, I was just wondering. Have a great day!!

Sarah - I have to defend BYU. Their season didn't exactly implode. We lost 2 games in the regular season to two very good football teams. One of them being the Utah Utes, who should be the national champions. Maybe an implosion would have been if we had lost to some lesser opponents. Yes, I am aware of what happened in the bowl game, but regardless, implosion is not what I would use to describe their season.

Good thing that Bob went for the touchdowns instead of the 3 points twice. It couldve easily been 21-7 at half. It was a interesting game. But you won so congrats

This is random but guess who read twilight, new moon, eclipse and is currently on the last 100 pages of Breaking Dawn? Daniel, thats right he did. You will have to give him a call and ask him about it, although you might not like him after that phone call.

Hi Sarah! It was fun to find a comment from you on my blog. It has been great to connect with old friends in this way. I appreciate your love for college football and have lived amoung CRAZY fans here in Alabama, as I thought BYU was bad!
You were correct on all your assumptions in regards to my family.
You and your husband seem very happy and are a cute couple. I look forward to hearing more of your adventures in New York.
