New Moon

What I really wanted was a picture of me at the movie theater, hugging a poster for New Moon. There wasn't one, anywhere. Sad, huh?

I LOVED it! I thought it was awesome! Better than Twilight. Better acting, better special effects, better make-up and costumes, better flow to the story ... just all around better. I loved Twilight, don't get me wrong, but it seems most of the rough edges and kinks were smoothed out in New Moon. Parts of the movies moved faster than the book, which I appreciated. Less of Bella sitting around and crying. Less of her moping over Edward's gorgeous face and never getting to see it again. Good job on the werewolves. And the Volturi. Those red contacts were creepy! And what a cliffhanger of an ending (well, for those few people who haven't read the books). Well done!

We drove all the way to Rochester to see it on a humungous screen, since theaters around here suck. Cory, being such a good sport, came with me. He estimated that about 10% of the theater was male. The baby cooperated for the movie, for which I was glad. We enjoyed dinner afterwards, which I promptly threw up in the parking lot. I guess dinner and a movie was too much to ask. But at least I saw the movie without incident. Now I'm ready to go again!

I agree on every point. I know I've already commented on this to you but seriously this was a much better film than Twilight. I still love Twilight but New Moon was more fun. And I'm so sad that you threw up your dinner! At least it wasn't in the car but still! Honestly it breaks my heart. June 30th! We should go to a midnight showing together cause I'm not sure if I can get Deven to another one of these movies...

oh and I failed to elaborate that June 30th is the release of Eclipse. But I'm sure you know that. Good times would be had by all.

You had a better ratio that I did. There were only 4 guys in the whole theater. And they were careful to keep their arms around their date to prove that they came with a girlfriend.

I loved it! I loved Twilight but New Moon was soooo much better. Me, you and Muhlestein can go see it. You can bring your new baby to the midnight showing too. Everyone else did...

I agree as well, a much better movie all around. As for the male-to-female ratio, I saw a statistic that said about 80% of the weekend traffic was female. All that means is that a ton of guys are missing out on an incredible series.

One comment on the movie though; when casting (way back when) was first announced I thought Robert Pattinson would make a terrible Edward, then after seeing Twilight a couple of times he really grew on me... but after New Moon I'm back to thinking he's a terrible Edward. I watch his performance and think 'this isn't at all the Edward of the books'.

Plus he's just a freakin' weird looking dude.

(If I die of an 'accident' tomorrow, please have the police take a second look for Team Edward evidence.)

How fun. I'm glad the baby cooperated at least for the movie. I'm looking forward to seeing this soon.

Hear, hear! It was great and WAY better. It's just too bad that they didn't get Rob the same trainer that they got Taylor. And it sure didn't help that as a vampire he's so pale. All of those half-naked boys are almost enough to make me switch teams! (Love, love, love Jacob. But I'm still Team Edward. Just have to clarify.)
